Mewie is a desktop companion for macOS with a 7-day free trial and a paid license after the trial. These plain-language terms describe the trial, purchase, license, refund, activation, and support expectations.
Free trial
Mewie includes a 7-day free trial with no card required. The trial starts in the Mac app, is checked by the licensing backend, and is intended for one trial per Mac/device. After the trial ends, Mewie may remain visible in a limited sleeping state, but companion behavior requires buying once or entering a paid license key. A paid license overrides trial status.
Purchase
After the trial, Mewie is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. There are no renewal fees for the license you buy. Stripe processes checkout and payment details, and the final price is shown securely in Stripe before payment.
License email
After verified payment, the license key is delivered by email to the address used at checkout. Keep that email. If the license email does not arrive, contact support@mewie.app from the purchase address.
License
Each Mewie license is for personal use on one active Apple silicon Mac at a time. Mewie requires macOS 15 Sequoia or later. You can deactivate Mewie on one Mac before activating the same license on another Mac.
Activation and deactivation
Trial start, trial refresh, activation, and deactivation check entitlement and the Mac linked to it. Deactivation releases the active Mac slot so the same license can be used on another compatible Mac. If the old Mac is unavailable, support can help release a stale slot after checking the order.
Refunds
Not a fit, or bought by mistake? Email support (or just reply to your license email) within 14 days of purchase and you get a full refund — no questions needed. Refunds are returned through Stripe. Refunded or charged back licenses are deactivated, including any active device slot.
Payments
Stripe processes checkout and payment details. Mewie receives only the purchase and license metadata needed to deliver a license, activate one Mac, handle refunds, respond to chargebacks, and provide support.
No sharing or misuse
Do not share, resell, rent, sublicense, publish, or transfer license keys except through supported deactivation and reactivation for your own compatible Mac. Do not bypass activation, abuse checkout or licensing systems, use Mewie to violate others' rights, or reverse engineer the app except where law gives you a right to do so.
Support
Email support@mewie.app with your purchase email, Mewie version, macOS version, and a short description of the problem. Support covers reasonable help with installation, activation, deactivation, transfers, refunds, and Mewie-specific troubleshooting. It does not include guaranteed response times, custom workflows, third-party tools, unrelated macOS issues, or recovery of private content. Do not send full license keys, private documents, screenshots, prompts, code, or terminal output.
Community
Mewie may link to r/mewie for feature requests, launch notes, and community setups. Community discussion is public and separate from license/payment support. For license/payment help, email support@mewie.app.
Updates
Mewie may provide maintenance, security, compatibility, or feature updates. Updates may change or remove behavior, and not every future feature, platform, or major version is guaranteed to be included with the original purchase.
Reliability
Mewie is provided as-is to the extent allowed by law. Desktop software, checkout, licensing, email delivery, update checks, downloads, and support may be interrupted, delayed, or unavailable. Mewie is not designed for safety-critical, emergency, medical, legal, financial, or other high-risk use.
Compatibility
Mewie currently targets Apple silicon Macs running macOS 15 Sequoia or later.
Mandatory rights
Nothing in these terms limits non-waivable consumer guarantees, refund rights, withdrawal rights, warranty rights, or other mandatory rights you have under the laws that apply to you.
Law
The seller is Markus Skov (enkeltpersonforetak), org.nr 920 721 869, Norway.
These terms are governed by Norwegian law, except where mandatory consumer protection rules give you rights under another applicable law.
